After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, Merritt Island scored 10 unanswered runs to beat Jensen Beach in the 4A Regional Quarterfinals.
It started w/the leadoff hitter in the home half of the first when Ty Brandes (2-3, HR, 3 RBI, 2 Runs) smacked a home run to start the onslaught.
Jesse Decter entered the game in the 2nd and slammed the door with 4 innings of relief work (1 H, O R, 10 Ks) to get the win improving to 7-0 on the season.
Ryder Widick and Wesley Lawrence got into the long ball party each hitting prodigious homers as the "Splash Bros" continued to pass the baton.
The Mustangs advance to the best-of-three Regional Semifinals next week when they will host American Heritage who shutout Eau Gallie 1-0.
